Kay Seurat My metal working career began in 1991, with two semesters of Art Metals at BSU. But my fascination with metal work started much earlier, when as a kid growing up in Idaho, I watched my Dad weld on his logging equipment. The flying sparks were as lovely as any 4th of July fireworks, and even more intriguing because I was told NOT to look at them. My focus veered away from large scale welding and into a more manageable form, that of silver soldering on small, jewelry size metals. This medium continues to hold my fascinaion, but I have never given up my hope to learn to weld and create large scale sculpture.
