My name is Kay Seurat, and if you call me when I'm not home, Doris Day will sing that for you.

For my entire life, my primary preoccupation has been art and craft, in all forms.

For the last 9 years I've narrowed it down to jewelry.

For the last 18 years my primary occupation has been art and craft, in many forms.

Never one to focus, I currently create jewelry in several different modes.

These range from a traditional style with semi-precious gemstones set in silver, to a very unique series which I call "Obitrary Art", a mix of cosmic forms and mysterious gadgetry, created with silver, copper and brass.

My work employs a variety of techniques and tools.  My first love is traditional silver smithing employing tools and techniques that have been used for centuries  I am also enamored with a brand new modern medium created in 1991. This is Metal Clay, Fine Silver in clay form which when kiln-fired emerges as metal.

I love the process, the variety, and the continual surprises that result from following my muses.

My work can be viewed at kayseurat.com and kayseuratjewlery.com
